What is your face acne telling you?

What is your face ance telling you?

I recently broke out bad on my chin and the left side of my chin, so I decided to do a little researching.

I’ve seen this before and totally forgot about it.

The Face mapping of acne.

An ancient Chinese medicine system.

When it comes to Asians and Pacific Islanders, we particularly take great pride in our skin, hair, and nails.
I know I do.

I decided to make my own little picture,  so please excuse my magnetic grocery shopping list in the background.

Acne face map - FilipinaMacBarbie

I’m such a goof and love pink and Hello Kitty and yes, I’m in my 30’s.

Don’t judge me. LOL

Each number represents a zone.

Zones 1& 2 (Bladder/Digestive system)

Acne in these areas may mean that you need to increase your water intake and improve your diet.  Drink plenty of water and make room for more veggies and fruits.
(I can deal with this one.)

Zone 3 (Liver)

You may want to cut back on your diary intake.
(I’m lactose intolerant, so I can deal with this one too.)

Zones 4 & 10/ 6 & 8 (Kidneys)

Zone 4 & 10- cut back on sodas, coffee, caffeine,  and alcohol.
(Say it aint so……cut back on coffee?? Do they know if they made a IV drip of coffee, I would have it hooked up to me 24/7!)

Zone 6 & 8- Hydrate and get plenty of rest.
(Hydrate I can do, but the get plenty of rest part….umm, yea, I’m a total insomniac.

Zones 5 & 9 (Respiratory)

If you’re a smoker, you may notice acne here. Also if you have seasonal allergies.
(I can vouch for this one.)

Zone 7 (Heart)

You may want to check your blood pressure.

Zones 11 & 13 (HORMONES)

Caused by either high stress or the monthly.
(High stress….well, now that the military is looking to cut thousands of people out of the force, I can see the stress in this one.)

Zone 12 (Stomach)

Time to Detoxify your body.
(It is time for me to do a cleanse anyways.  The last time I did a complete cleanse, my skin was flawless and felt so clean.  It’s almost indescribable how it felt.  I had tons of energy and slept well.)

Zone 14 (Illness)

Your body may be fighting a bacterial infection.   Drink plenty of fluids, get plenty of rest,  and take your daily vitamins.

Now, I’m sure you’re probably looking at your face right now and saying, “OMG!”

Crazy right?

Let’s see if we can fight these nasty sore spots in the new year!

Until next time

Beauty Bloggers Tag

It’s TAG time, and I TAG YOU!

Ok, I guess I should answer the questions myself first. This is the Beauty Blogger TAG, and I found this on A Beauty Moment so go pay a little visit :).

Now, let’s get to it, shall we?

Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Naturally curly.
Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Go to the salon.  I have super long hair!
Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
I wear an updo at work during the week and I normally wear it down when I’m off.
Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
For my manicure,  I do them myself.  I’m super picky with my nails and when I would go to the salon, I would just have to tell them exactly how I want them then normally have to go behind them to do it exactly my way.  When it comes to my pedicure,  I let them have the fun with that.  I love getting the massage that comes along with it.
How often do you change your nail polish?
I change it out weekly.
Do you polish your toes in the winter or just in the summer?
Both, I live in Florida,  so it’s pretty much flip flop season all the time.
How long does it take for you to put on your makeup?
About 30 minutes, unless I’m rushing – then maybe a good 15 minutes.
What do you do first, face or eyes?
Do you ‘collect’ makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I buy what I need, “want”, but at the same time collect.
How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Once in a while.  I used to wear them all the time until I found my perfect mascara.
Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Not everyday, but for the most part, i do.
Do you wear makeup when your home alone, or with family?
Only when I’m dabbling and playing with my cosmetics.
Will you leave the house without makeup?
I’ll have some sort of makeup on, be it lipstick or lipgloss.
How many high-end products do you have?
I have a ton of MAC if you want to consider that “high end”.
Do you plan your OOTD every night or decided when you are getting dressed?
When I’m getting dressed…..or actually thinking about it while I’m still nice in comfy on my couch or bed.
How often do you change your handbag?
Depends on my outfit.
What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
I wake up about 4am to 5 am on the week days and start getting ready for work and I wake up the same time on the weekends,  but at least on the weekends,  I can just stay on my couch/bed and fall back asleep.   I fall asleep…..between 12-3am. I’m a total insomniac.
How often or when do you workout?
At least 3 times a week.  I’m in the military so we have to stay fit.
Left handed or right handed?
How tall are you?
I’m 5′ 5″
Do you speak any foreign language?
Not fluently.
How many pets do you have?
I have 1 dog. My awesome Maltese.
Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yes I do, and I try to comment too!
Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
If the blogger has the same skin tone and skin conditions,  I may go out and try them.
How did you come up with your Blog name?
FilipinaMacBarbie: Filipina-cause that’s what I am; Mac-it’s mostly what I have and everyone can determine its either gonna be a beauty blog or a techy blog; Barbie-because we’re all Dolls in our own ways, plus my friend bought me a Filipina World Barbie for my birthday and it looks just like me.
What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
My Samsung Galaxy tablet
How often do you clean your house?
Everyday! ! I have two kids.
What’s your favourite colour?
Do you swear?
More than I want too.  But I keep my blog PG.
What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Think of other blog topics and organize some.
Until next time

The Beauty Bloggers Pride & Joy! Makeup Storage and Womans Cave

Beauty Bloggers Pride & Joy!

Makeup storage and Womans Cave

I think to end this year, I’ll show you my womans cave, aka Makeup storage and my own domain.

Now, I’m not going to go through all my makeup products in detail because this will turn into a days or two post to write and read.  I may do a post on each individual drawer at a later time.  Comment below if you would like that.

(Be forewarned, there will be lots of pictures)

On to the WOMANS CAVE!

Makeup vanityHalfroomDesk

Womens cave

It took me almost two days to transform this room into my own domain.

I have my desk with my desktop computer, my vanity desk with makeup storage,  and a makeup storage container.

I bought my makeup storage container from Amazon.   There’s a link on my blog to the right on the page.

I bought my vanity desk off of Craigslist and I found the computer desk on a curb across the street from my friend’s house and I just repainted it white.  I couldn’t believe that they were getting rid of it.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

So onto my makeup storage container……

Makeup storage

It has 10 drawers, a metal top, and is rollable.  Is rollable even a word?

I organized it by how I put on my cosmetics in order by drawer.

On top I have some perfume,  face serum,  my Hello Kitty globe, and an e-reader.

Top storage

The 1st drawer I have some face lotions/creams and face sprays.

Drawer 1

The 2nd drawer are my face/eye primers, concealers, and eyebrow products.

Drawer 2

The 3rd drawer consists of my many different foundations and BB creams.  I can never just find one product to use for a perfect shade.  I mix and dabble in different ones.

Drawer 3

Next is my contouring and highlighting drawer.  After I put my foundation on, its time to contour and highlight my face.

Drawer 4

After contouring and highlighting,  I move into my blush drawer.

Drawer 5

Then the next 3 drawers are for my eyes.

Single eyeshadows, then eyeshadow palettes, then the eyeliner/mascara drawer.

The next drawer is part of my lip product collection.

If I’m ever in a rush, I never leave my house without something on my lips. So, I think thats why I have a tons of lip products.

Lip drawer

The last drawer is just miscellaneous things.

Now on my vanity desk top, I have the rest of my lipsticks and lipglosses, a mirror,  my makeup brushes, a cute 3 drawer Hello Kitty container,  and a quick everyday tray of products.

Top vanityLipstick storageBrushesEveryday makeup

The 1st drawer from my vanity desk is of some eyelash products.

Vanity drawer

The other two drawers just has some makeup bags and hair products.

On my computer desk right now, I have the Zoya Spring 2014 Naturel nail polish collection.   I’ve been playing with this set since I received it.  By far, the best nail polish collection I have to date.

Nail polish desk

I have my full nail polish collection in my master bath.  I’m hoping to get a nail polish rack to put on my wall.  I’ve seen some really nice ones and my collection continues to grow.

So there’s my womans cave.

I still have some things that I want to get like the nail polish rack, a really nice camera for taking better pictures, and a laptop to blog on the go.

I hope you enjoyed and probably got some ideas of ways to do your domain.

Until next time…..
