GlossyBox Jan 2014 Beauty Box

GlossyBox just announced that January 2014 box will contain one of these

GlossyBox Jan 2014

The original beautyblender!!

I recently just purchased a beautyblender last month and fell in complete love with it.  It took me forever to buy one because I thought $20 was super steep for a sponge.  Soon I realized it was worth it.

If you haven’t heard about GlossyBox before.  It’s a monthly customized beauty box I receive.

  • Five surprise luxury beauty products
  • Delivered to your doorstep, monthly
  • $21/month

I also receive Ipsy’s monthly beauty bag monthly.

These are the two best for the money beauty boxes out there in my opinion.

This month’s box is already paid for with just this one product!

If you want to check out what GlossyBox is about, click HERE.

It’s so worth it!

Until next time Dolls

Do you already get this monthly box?

Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash – Worst acne breakout EVER

Worst acne breakout caused by Philosophy’s Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash

Philosophy exfoliating wash

Now this is only my personal experience with this product.   If it works for you, that’s awesome.

I’ve heard the brand Philosophy has amazing products.  So when I was at Sephora a couple weeks ago I was looking for a good gentle everyday facial exfoliator.  I saw and read the bottle of the Philosophy and decided to get it.

The first few days I loved the feel of the micro thingies in it.  But then the ugly truth set in play.  My chin, the sides of my chin, and the right side of my cheek started getting those super sensitive,  feels like it’s connected to all the nerves on your face, huge cystic acne spots.  It looks like fire ants went to town on my face on those spots.  Now I get the occasional hormonal breakout the week before I start my monthly, but this was not during that time period and definitely not this type of acne.

I still haven’t left my house other than to go to the store to grab a couple of things.  I cant even cover these with a good concealer.

I did a search online and discovered that I’m not the only person that this had happened too.

This isn’t one of those acne products that is suppose to make your acne purge.

I’m definitely taking this product back to Sephora for an exchange for another product.

I will NEVER EVER purchase this again or recommend it to anyone.

So, if it works for you, that’s awesome but it sure did NOT work for me.

Now I’m back to the drawing board in searching for a good gentle exfoliating face wash.  I did like the way the exfoliating particles felt so if there’s another brand that has the same feel but won’t break me out to the point I don’t want to leave the house, please leave a suggestion.

What’s a good one out there that you can suggest? And please don’t say Philosophy.

Please please please, let me know of some good exfoliating washes out there.

2013 Beauty Favorites

My favorite and most used Beauty products of 2013

most used beauty products 2013

These were my most used and favorites of 2013.

Smashbox BB Cream in Medium

smashbox bb

BB Creams were all the craze and still is.  Being in Florida,  we need to wear spf to protect our skin from the sun.  Smashbox is the perfect fit for my skin with the shade of color and coverage.   It’s in between a tinted moisturizer and full coverage foundation.

Sigma F80 Foundation Brush

sigma f80

Since I started off with the BB Cream, the Sigma F80 Kabuki brush is what I used to give me that flawless finish.  They’re reasonably priced and I haven’t had any shedding of the bristles like my other brushes.

Elf Contouring & Blush set

elf contouring

This is by far the best, hands down contouring & blush set in one for the buck!  For only $3 and I still havent reached pan.  It’s super comparable to the NARS set.

MAC contouring brush 168

mac brush 168

I use this baby for my contouring and blush.  I do the contouring first then I just dab on the blush on the apples of my cheeks.  I like how they’re white bristles so I can see how much of the contouring product I have on it.  You don’t want it to be too harsh and have too much product on it.

Macadamia Hair treatment oil

I fell in love with this product when I received it in one of my monthly Ipsy beauty bags.  I love the smell and I don’t need a ton of it.  I have super long, color-treated hair.  I only need one pump for all of it.  The left over that I have in my hands after smoothing it through my hair, I just rub it on my cuticles to nourish them at the same time.  They are quite pricey, but it’s worth every penny.  The normally have deals on these at CVS & Target where you buy one and get a 2nd product at half off.  When I see deals like that, I go ahead and jump on it.

Victoria’s Secret Love Spell lotion

love spell

This is my absolute favorite scent.  I feel so fresh and sexy in this.  It’s not overpowering and makes my skin feel so smooth.

MAC Blacktrack eye liner fluidline

mac blacktrack

This is my go-to eyeliner!   It doesn’t smudge and stays in place ALL DAY!  I typically wear the cat eyes everyday.  It’s pretty much my signature eyes.  It doesn’t matter where I am or going.

I don’t know what I’d do without my Clarisonic.  This has saved my skin!  My skin feels so clean after I use this.  When I don’t use it, I can definitely tell the difference.  It’s pricey but so worth it.  Don’t let the other look a likes fool you.  This is the real deal of skin cleaning.

Urban Decay’s Naked 2

naked 2

There’s so many possibilities with this.  From my everyday wear in my Air Force uniform to a night on the town.  You can create different looks with this  one AMAZING  set!

Last but definitely not least….

MAC lipsticks

I never leave the house without something on my lips.  If I don’t have anything else on, I always have lipstick or lipgloss on.  I feel naked without it.  For me and my lips, MAC makes the best lipstick formulas.

Well beauties, were any of my favorites yours as well?
