Shea Moisture Raw Deep Treatment Masque and Curl Enhancing Smoothie Review
I originally bought these for my daughter since she has a head full of amazing curls and unfortunately she loves to flat-iron her hair. I’ve read reviews talking about these products saying how incredible they are so I went out and bought them.
A few days ago I went and had my hair retouched with all-over highlights. My natural hair color is dark brown almost black, so when I go to the salon, it takes a toll on my hair.
It was a good lil time since I had to study for a test, so those hours at the salon is a perfect time to study. I have super long hair so I had a salon entourage doing my hair.
I’ve been super bad at going in to get retouched. You’ll see how bad in a second…..
The first picture below is when I first sat down……and yes, I love to act a fool sometimes. 🙂
See that fat book I had to study for 1 test? The WHOLE book=1 test!
Now to me, I don’t know about you, but this right here is the best part about getting your hair done.
The shampooing and conditioning! Well, actually, the head MASSAGE! Who’s with me?!
With all these chemicals put into my hair, I knew when I got home, I’d have to give myself a deep conditioning.
It’s thick and smooth, light yellowish in color, and a STRONG scent to it. I wouldn’t recommend having this on if you have your significant other in your bed. You’ll just have to smell it for yourself though to see if you can handle it.
I did it for overnight usage, since I just had a bunch of chemicals highlighting my hair. The company itself says you only need it on for 30 minutes under some heat.
Now I had the stuff at home a totally forgot to get me a hair cap! You’ll see how I compromised though! Don’t judge me…..
Since I was doing a hair mask, I decided to do my Glam Glow Mud Mask too. As you can tell, I have no shame showing y’all the pictures! As i said before, Don’t judge me…..
When I woke up the next morning, I jumped in the shower and washed it all out. My hair was nice and moisturized but it didn’t add in any shine.
Thats when I grabbed the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie.
Here’s some pictures of the after math.
It was a good after math for that day with the conditioning and shine, then the following day, it was heavy and weighed my hair down.
Now mind you, I have wavy hair and not curly hair like my daughter. So, this may work different on her hair than it did on mine.
I have another product that I’ve been using that I love for my hair. I’ll make sure to post that one very soon.
The most important part is that I wanted it to be deep conditioned, and that product did do its duty making it strong and nourished. Plus, I love the fact that it’s an all-natural product!
So, there’s my tell with all my goofy pictures. I hope y’all enjoyed!
Have you tried any of the Shea Moisture products?
