My Nail Polish wall rack

I just wanted to introduce you all to my nail polishes new best friend and beauty cave addition.

nail polish wall rack

Yes, I’m super EXCITED!!

I know they’re not in order and organized by color shades at the moment but I just wanted to make sure everything fitted and I will go back later and organize it better.

I am in love with the nail polish wall rack style!  But unfortunately,  the bottom part of the wall rack is not flushed to the wall like its supposed to be so it’s not stable to keep on the wall.  I will be looking for another one hopefully in this type of style, because the company (Beauticom) from Amazon wants me to ship this back to them so they can see whats wrong with it after I sent them pictures. Then they’ll send me a new one.

That’s too much money out of my pocket and time wasted.

My new goal I want to achieve before the end of the year is to fill a nail polish rack just like this one up with nothing but Zoya nail polishes!!

So, all my Zoya friends, I hope you hear me loud and clear…I WANT MORE NAIL POLISHES! 😉 I’m jus’ sayin’

I know I’m gonna have to order another one of these from somewhere else because I still have to get the new Bubbly & Tickled Zoya nail polish collections.

Well my Beautiful Dolls, I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday!!

The Gentle Daily Exfoliant

Dermalogica

Have you been looking for a gentle daily face exfoliate?

I’ve always thought that exfoliates had to have those beads or rough crushed nuts in them, but I was so wrong!

Every time I used one of those type of exfoliates my face would be all red and would break-out.
I reached out to the awesome beauty blogging community and TONS of women suggested that I tried this because it was their Holy Grail of exfoliates.

I was hesitant at first just because of the cost and I really didn’t feel like asking for just a sample because the closest ULTA Beauty store is an hour away, but I took the plunge and forked out the $52.

Yea, freaking $52!!

This is what the Dermalogica website says about the Microfoliant:

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant 75g.

Gentle, daily use exfoliating powder for all skin conditions. Unique Rice-based powder formula activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter. Our unique Skin Brightening Complex helps to balance uneven skin pigmentation while a super-soothing blend of Green Tea, Ginkgo and Colloidal Oatmeal helps to calm the skin, leaving it extraordinarily clear and refreshed. Gentle enough to use on a daily basis. Not recommended for users of medically-prescribed exfoliation products. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors.

Benefits

Removes dulling surface debris and evens skin tone.
Reveals brighter, smoother skin.
Gentle enough for daily use.

How to use

Dispense about a half-teaspoon of Daily Microfoliant® into very wet hands and create a creamy paste by rubbing hands together. Apply to face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Massage gently for one minute, then rinse thoroughly. Follow with Multi-Active Toner or UltraCalming Mist and prescribed Dermalogica Moisturizer.

Now, I’m not too keen on reading directions for some reason.  I’m one of those females that like to wash my face at night while I’m in the shower.  You know, you gotta find ways to save money so why not just do it in there while you have the water running anyways!

Well, I like to wash my whole face with my eyes shut.  Don’t let the powder form fool ya one bit.  Once you get it mixed and start applying it to your face, make sure to not let any sneak near your eyes because this sucker BURNS!! OH MY WORD IT BURNS!!  Learn from my mistake.

I like the fact that it’s gentle enough for me to use daily because I just started using my Retin-A micro gel 0.04% gel pump and my skin has been in skin-renewal overload (scaling).  Being able to use the Dermalogica microfoliant, I know that it’s getting all of my dead skin off and my face is once again smooth.

Here comes my only 2 cons:

  • Scent
  • Cost

Not too bad for the cons.  The scent reminds me of baby cereal. I seriously can’t wait to get it off my face.  All the mothers here know how that smells.

The other con is the cost!  $52!! Holy smokes that’s a lot! BUT…..the bottle will last a very long time since it is in powder form.

I use it twice daily right now since I started my Retin-A 0.04% Micro gel pump and my face is literally shedding off all the dead skin cells.  Once my face gets used to the Retin-A, I’ll go back to using it once a day.

All in all, it’s a keeper for me so if you’re in the search for a great daily exfoliate,  I’d recommend you go to your nearest ULTA to get a sample to try.

What exfoliates do you use?
