Healthy Breakfast or Snacks for the On-The-Go Woman

healthy breakfast and snacks

As you know I’ve been on a health kick lately and I love to eat! Seriously, you can ask my friends and coworkers. I literally eat throughout the day. I don’t have the typical 3 meals a day. I eat when my body tells me to eat to satisfy my hunger pains.

First I’ll drink something to see if it’s really thirst pains and my body is telling me I’m dehydrated. If water doesn’t help then I’ll go and grab something to eat.

For us on-the-go women, in the mornings, I get my fix with Quaker Oats Instant Oatmeal. They have them in all types of flavors so you never get bored. But don’t restrict Quaker Oats to just breakfast. They are also great for snacks.

They’re high in soluble fiber, which will slow down our digestive system but in a good way. It will make us fill fuller longer and we won’t be reaching out for more food to put in our tummys.

Avoid adding sugar. You can however add natural sugars such as fruits: bananas, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, mangoes, etc.

I eat this in the mornings and even for snacks.

Good thing is, is that almost everyone has these in their houses already.

It’s low in calories too. Which is always a good thing.

For more than 135 years, Quaker has been a leader in nourishing families through great-tasting, oat-based products. Research has only scratched the surface when it comes to this unique grain and all it can do. As such, the Quaker Oats Center of Excellence was developed to further explore the relevance and benefits of oats through science, agricultural sustainability and innovation. The Center is part of Quaker’s commitment to uncover the power of the oat to provide families with the healthy fuel they want to help them do more of what matters. New information feeds innovation for future oat-based solutions intended to help people around the globe optimize their health and pursue well-being.

My 7-year-old son can even make these on his own without a measuring cup. On the actual packet, they conveniently put a measured line to let us know how much water to add.

Me and my son LOVES oatmeal but my daughter is another story. That just means more for us!
