WEN Hair Cleansing Condition Review

WEN Hair Conditioning Review

WEN Hair Conditioning Review

One of my late nights that I was up watching infomercials, WEN’s came on with the beautiful Alyssa Milano spokeswoman doing her thing and hyping how wonderful the WEN Cleansing Conditioning.

I was a sucker and bought into it. It was late and I’ve always wanted to try it out. I took the plunge and got my credit card out and bought it. It doesn’t help that they also add all types of extras to lore you in.

wen hair care

For this posting I will only talk about the WEN Cleansing Conditioning hair product.

They say to use it as so

Step 1:Rinse hair thoroughly. Apply WEN® into your palms and rub together. Use 10-16 pumps for short hair, 16-24 for medium length hair and 24-32 pumps for long hair. If your hair is longer/thicker you may need to increase the amount of pumps.

Step 2:Apply to scalp and hair, adding a splash of water to evenly distribute. WEN® has no harsh detergents or sodium lauryl sulfate, so it won’t lather. Massage thoroughly into hair and leave on for the remainder of your shower.

Step 3:Rinse thoroughly and completely, massaging scalp and running fingers through to the ends.

Apply 1/2 to 1 pump depending on hair length and texture as a leave-in conditioner to soaking wet hair. For best results, we highly suggest you cleanse, rinse and repeat, using half the recommended pumps for the first cleanse, and the remaining half for the second cleanse. Unlike many ordinary shampoos, you may find you don’t need to cleanse as often.

But in my reality:

Only use as many pumps as you think YOUR hair needs. I have super long hair and I there’s no way I would use the recommended 24-32 pumps. I’m not in the shower to get my forearms a workout. I use a good 4-5 pumps then my hair is saturated with WEN in it.

Make sure before you add WEN in your hair, that your hair is drenching wet. If not, it will be hard to spread this thick conditioning on your hair.

I’ve heard horror stories that WEN has made their hair fall out. Thank God that hasn’t happened to me.

My hair does feel super soft after I get out of the shower and I’m loving the Sweet Almond Mint aroma it has.

The one thing I had to get use to was that it doesn’t have that bubbly lather.

Would I repurchase this?

I doubt it, just because of the cost. It is quite steep for my liking.

I know there are others out there on the market that you can get at supermarkets, department stores that are easily assessable for quite cheaper.

I bought this because I’m constantly dying my hair and wanted to have my color last longer.

Have you used the WEN hair products?  What are your thought on the WEN system?

Glossybox for Harper’s Bazaar

September’s Glossybox for Harper’s Bazaar

Harpers Bazaar Glossybox

At last I finally received my September’s Glossybox for Harper’s Bazaar!

I’ve been seeing and reading everyone’s unboxing I was envious and impatiently waiting for my box to arrive in my mailbox.

Here it is October already but with the products inside this box is, I guess worth the wait. But Glossybox, if you somehow see this post, don’t let that happen again. I’m jus’ sayin’!

So on to the probably 1,000th September’s Glossybox for Harper’s Bazaar unboxing post for y’all.

Harpers Bazaar Glossybox

Let’s get to unwrapping this long overdue Glossybox. Yes, I’m still a little salty for having to wait for so long.

Harpers Bazaar Glossybox

The beauty products inside:

  • Essie nail polish in She’s Pampered (Full size)
  • Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! mascara (Deluxe sample)
  • Bvlgari Eau Parfumée au thé Vert Conditioner (Deluxe sample)
  • Vichy Liftactiv Night (Deluxe sample)
  • Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar: Matte in Black Dahlia (Full size)

All of the brands are very well-known.

The one I was excited to get is the Vichy Liftactiv Night moisturizer. I’ve heard nothing great raves about it.

Harpers Bazaar Glossybox, #Glossybox

Optimize skin’s natural nighttime repair mechanisms with this evening moisturizer, which stars anti-aging plant sugar extract, rhamnose, and continuous-release vitamin C. Promising to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and boost skin’s firmness, this cream also offers 24 hours of hydration and improved skin tone.

Full size price: $50

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Black Dahlia

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Black Dahlia

I’m not a lip stain type of chic but this may be the game changer.

This is the full size product which also comes with a lip brush. Using the lip brush was a little tricky for me because I never use this with lipstick.

You really only need a little bit of this product on the brush to apply to your lips. This little container could seriously last you YEARS to use up.

What they have to say about Black Dahlia:

Don’t judge a lip color by its tube. Black Dahlia is a sultry dark red that complements any skin tone. Featuring a liquid matte formula and unparalleled pigment intensity and wear time, this vegan lipstick contains organic help oil and soy-derived vitamin E, for a finish that feels as good as it looks!

Application Tip:

Apply the tiniest amount of Black Dahlia with the included Short-Handled Precision Lip Brush for complete, opaque coverage, either alone or mixed with other shades.

Full size price: $18

Essie She's Pampered nail polish

I can never have enough nail polishes. I know some people get tired of getting nail polishes in some beauty boxes but I personally love receiving them. That is if they’re a good brand. Essie has definitely made a good name for their brand so I’m happy to receive an Essie nail polish.

Look and feel like a princess when you apply She’s Pampered, the perfect Crimson hue.

Full size price: $8.50 / $0.46 fl oz

Bvlgari Hair Conditioner

bvlari eau parfumee conditioner

I don’t see myself buying a full size bottle of this since there are tons of cheaper hair conditioners out there on the market that smells just as nice. This is a luxury item in my books.

Boosting a rich formula that contains green tea extract, Jasmine, and notes of aromatic orange blossom, this gentle cream conditioner leaves hair lightly scented with Bvlgari’s classic Eau Parfumée au thé vert fragrance.

Full size price: $45/6.76 fl oz

Benefit They’re Real! mascara

Benefit They're Real mascara

My daughter was ecstatic for this to be in my Glossybox this month because she literally just threw away her empty one.

It’s an all right mascara to me. It’s not my Holy Grail mascara because I’ve tested out quite a bit of mascaras that blow this highly raved about mascara. So of course since my daughter loves it, she’s getting it.

What Benefit has to say about They’re Real! Mascara:

They’re Real! Mascara lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and separates lashes like no other. The jet-black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. Plus, a specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!

Full size price: $23 / 0.3 oz

All in all, this months Glossybox didn’t disappoint. Only the shipping for me did.

What Glossybox beauty product are you loving on this month?

Until next time Dolls!
