Beauty Blogger Goals 2014

Happy New Years My Beauty Dolls!

20131230_221316

This is how I like to start my mornings off.  With a nice cup of coffee.  My best friend Veronica from My Couponing Life knows how much I love Hello Kitty.  (YES I’M A BIG KID AT HEART.)  She’s the one that made me the Hello Kitty box that I put my K-Cups in.  She also bought me the Hello Kitty coffee cup that’s waiting for the coffee to fill it up.

Last night me and my kiddos stayed home and celebrated with kid wine together.  You know, the Branch’s brand wine.  They love that stuff.  They wait all year for the holidays to come so those bottles will be back on the stores shelves.  We hurried up to finish washing the clothes, took out all the garbage, cooked some black-eyed peas, and cleaned the house.

There’s superstitions out there about nothing can leave your house on New years, to include taking out the trash. No washing clothes because their may be a death in the family during the new year. No cleaning the house, eating black-eyed peas and pork for good luck.  Opening the doors at midnight to let the bad luck leave and good luck enters, etc etc etc…. The list goes on.

Previous New Years Eves, I’ve only done the no washing clothes bit, but this year I did the rest.  So hopefully this year is a new fresh beginning with only good things to come.  To tell you the truth, I actually feel good.  Like, burdens have been released from my body.  I feel light and refreshed.

We had the black-eyed peas and I didn’t even think about the dirty dishes that were going to be left from that.  I have this weird thing when it comes to having dirty dishes in my sink.  It’s like  have a phobia of dirty dishes in the sink.  When I see dishes in the sink, I automatically take my rings off and start washing them.  It doesn’t matter where I am.  So, I had to resist from washing them while my coffee was brewing and just put that in the dish washer so I didn’t have to see them.  I didn’t turn it on though, so I’m good to go for not cleaning.

Yesterday I came up with The BeautyFULL Resolutions list, but I didn’t even think to make a list of goals for my blog this year.  So, now I’m thinking about that.  So, if y’all have any ideas, please share with me.  I just started out this blog at the end of August last year and I’m having fun with it so far.

I do know I want to build my readers reach and connect with each and every one of y’all.

I have a small list of stuff that I do want to get for my blogging needs like these below….

A laptop!  Preferably in Pink.

I have a desktop, my Samsung tablet, and a SUPER OLD netbook….remember those?  But I need a laptop to take with me whenever I’m on the go and when something inspires me, I can just whip it out and start going to town typing.

With my tablet, I don’t really like having to use my stylus to poke the letters to type.  I want a keyboard.  I just launched a GoFundMe account for a latop.  If you want or can, just click HERE to the site.  One of my friends told me about the site and figured to give it a shot.  Also share the post if you can.  I’d appreciate it so much!!!

Next on my list is……

A planner!  Again, preferably in pink.

So that I can organize my thoughts and plan out my posts and pencil in my times to focus on writing.

Finally, I need this in my life and put it in my Womans Cave.

A nail polish wall rack!

If you haven’t yet seen my Womans Cave, click HERE.  It’s my pride and joy!  A place to call my own.  Men aren’t the only ones that want a “Mans cave”.

Well beauties, if you have some suggestions for my blog goals, please leave me a comment!

Until next time Dolls….

I hope you have a Blessed New Year and hope to connect with each and every one of y’all!!

Life as a single momma with my lil family

This is really my first “Family Life” post on here.

I started this blog to escape and relax from the fast paced world.

I’ve been posting a lot on the beauty side of this blog, so now I’m going to introduce you to my lil family.

I have an almost 14-year-old daughter, Jovaly Victaysha and a 7-year-old son, Jules Valentino and a 8-year-old male Maltese pup, Gizmo.

Ever since I was a kid I knew I wanted to have kids of my own and a pure white pup.  I have exactly what I wanted.

I was born in the Philippines and left there when I was 5 then moved to Florida.

I’m also in the United States Air Force.  I’ve been serving for 16 years now.  I can’t believe it has been that long already.   I’ve been stationed in England, Texas, Germany, and now stationed back home in Florida.

I was a quite kid until I became a teenager.  I loved sports and was a tom boy for the longest.

Well, back to my lil family……

I have seriously been blessed with my kids.  I’m not saying this being bias, but they are seriously well-behaved.   They have never to my knowledge thrown a temper tantrum.  Well, actually my daughter has.  When she was born, she always had this one blanket that she always had to have.  She was the epitome of Linus from Peanuts.  She had that blanket with her until she was 4 years old.  She finally gave it up to her best friends sister when she was born.  That’s another reason why she’s so awesome.  She gave her security blanket away to someone who she cares about.  She still remembers to this day about her blankey.

With Jovaly,  she finally started sleeping through the night, the night before I had to go back to work. With Jules on the other hand, he didn’t sleep through the night without having to sleep on my chest until he was 10 weeks old.

They’re not the average kids where on the weekends they wake up at the crack of dawn and wake you up.  They let me sleep in and still do to this day.

Being a single momma, sleep is important.

My daughter even wakes up before I do during the week and has my coffee ready for me for when I wake up.

I’m always receiving compliments on how well-behaved they are.  When we’re out and about, they don’t run around or cause any scenes.

I have truly been blessed.

My son is such a mommas boy and I LOVE IT!

I plan to make sure he is raised to treat women respectfully and to be independently strong.

I can’t believe how time flies by so fast.  I cherish every single moment with them.  There’s never a dull moment in our house.

We are always either dancing like no one is watching us, watching movies together,  cooking together, playing games, etc.

I try to give them as much love as I can to make sure they know they are loved.  I have to do double duty with them playing the mommy and daddy role. Just because their fathers aren’t in the lives, I want them to feel loved beyond belief.

So, there’s just a little intro to my lil family.

Until next time,

What are your favorite moments with your kiddos?

xoxo
