Once you open the jar, it smells AMAZING!!  It’s super lemony.   It’s almost as you just walked into a field of fresh lemon trees and went to town squeezing the lemons.  It’s just an amazing fresh scent.
It feels like a dry scrub with sugar granules.
Sukiface
To use it, make sure your face is a little wet.  Wet your hands, massage between your palms to activate the foaming action.  Apply in circular motions on your face.  Use it once a day, either in the morning or evening, 2-3 times a week depending on your skin sensitivity.
Once you start rubbing your hands together with the scrub in them, it starts to foam and the granules start to dissolve.
Your skin feels squeaky smooth and clean right after you use it.
I read tons of reviews and this was rated 5 stars pretty much everywhere BUT
of course another FAILED face exfoliator for me.  I so wanted this to work out for me because it smells AMAZING!!!  Seriously amazing!
I’m embarrassed to show these pictures but the Sukiface exfoliator foaming cleanser caused some cystic like acne.

Like I said, I’ve heard great things but this just didn’t work out for me.  I used the exfoliator twice.  It smells so good though.
Off to the drawing board for a new face exfoliator.
If yall know of any, leave me your suggestions!

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream Review

I received a little sample of the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream from my Sephora perk points and I’ve used it for a month now.

Origins GinZing Refreshing eye cream

I’ll start off with what it claims its supposed to do.  Then I’ll go into my personal review.

The website it says the Origins GinZing eye refreshing:

What it is:

What it is formulated to do:

And Origins’ proprietary complex of caffeine from coffee bean, Panax ginseng, magnolia extract, and natural optic brighteners rapidly wakes up, refreshes, and restores radiance to tired eyes. Best for all skin types.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:

– 80% reduction in puffiness

Now on to my personal review of the Origins GinZing Refreshing eye cream.

I chose this as my perk point freebie from Sephora because I love Ginseng skin products and I love the smell of Ginseng skin products.  BUT I have NOT seen any results of improvement from using this other than the fact that I’m tricking my brain since I’m using an eye cream, that I’m doing something good for my skin.

When I wake up in the mornings, I do my normal routine of washing my face, then I apply this by dabbing a little under and around my eyes.  NO unpuffiness going on, on this face.  NO covering of the dark circles…. Same Ole, Same Ole.

The cream itself has tiny lil speckles of glimmer and that’s what is supposed to “Brighten” around your eyes, but again with the brain tricks…. It’s only an illusion.

The shelf life of this product is 6 months and that gets me wondering on the efficiency of the essential oils that are in this jar???

I do know that I wouldn’t purchase the full-sized 15 ml jar for $30.

This may work for some but I haven’t seen or felt that I would recommend this to any of my friends or anyone that I know.  But, that’s just me.

Have you tried Origins GinZing eye cream?  Tell me your results.

Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Night Cream Review

I received a good sized sample of the Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Night Cream in my March New Beauty Test Tube.

Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Night Cream

This is supposed to improve the look and feel of our skin while we get our beauty rest. It’s a hydrating, skin-brightening night cream.
It’s best for normal to dry skin and employs the detoxifying properties of Artic cloudberry nectar to help brighten and balance dull and uneven skin tone.
I have combination/oily skin, so I’ll see if it’ll do anything for me.
It has a light citrus scent to it.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I tried it out and the claims for it being for people with dry to normal skin is absolutely TRUE!
I have combination to oily and it was way to heavy for my skin.
I’m going to have to hand this down for one of my friends that have dry to normal skin.
It’s a shame because I hear great things about this brand.
The Struggle, for the combination to oily skinned women.

Josie Maran Argan Oil AKA “Liquid Gold!”

Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil AKA “Liquid Gold!”
Josie Maran facial Argan Oil
Argan oil is derived from nuts found within the fruit of argan trees, which grow almost exclusively in a certain region of Morocco.
The restorative and anti-aging benefits is what caught the eyes and ears of the beauty world.
I received a Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil sample bottle from Sephora when I was out shopping last weekend and I’ve been using it religiously since.
If you’ve been following my blog posts, then you know that I’m so serious about my skin care this year.  I’m almost obsessed, scratch that, there’s no “almost”, I AM obsessed to finding out what’s the best thing for my skin and finding the perfect skin care regimen. I’m also a combination but more on the oily side skin type.
So, you’re probably thinking I’ve gone mad.  Why would I add more oil to my skin? But for some strange reason, it controls my oily face.
If you know any Asians or Pacific Islanders, then you know we have a thing for our skin, nails, and hair.  I think it’s embedded into our brains!
Off subject, but a fun lil fact or really an observation.  I can tell if someone is Filipino by their handwriting.  It’s weird,  but for some reason, we all write alike.  Even the males.
Now I know that you’re going to start looking at all of your Filipino friends notes to see if I’m right.
Alright, let me get back to the subject at hand.
Josie Maran facial Argan Oil
There’s so many uses for Argan oil when it comes to beauty.
• Face
• Nail cuticles
• Hair
• Feet
• Elbows
The list goes on and on and on…….
So, you see the 1st three things right???
Like I said earlier, Asians and Pacific Islanders have a thing for skin, hair, and nails!
That’s what made me jump on this!
Again, now you’re going to look at all your Asian and Islander female friends to see if there’s some truth to what I’m saying.
When to use Argan oil
• In the morning
• Before bed
• Or whenever you see fit
Let’s get into on how to use this so-called Liquid Gold Argan Oil for your beautiful faces.
1. Open your bottle
You’re probably saying, “No Sh:t Sherlock!”
I just wanted to be a lil smart butt for a second….
Okay, back to being serious…
1. Clean your beautiful faces
Do your normal face cleaning techniques.
I always use my Clarisonic.  My Holy Grail of skin care needs!! I love that thing!  It’s a lil expensive but so worth it!!!  I seriously think if mine were to ever break, I would literally cry and jump in my truck and speed to Sephora to get a new one.  IT’S THAT GOOD!
2. Warm the Argan oil
Argan oil needs to be warmed before it is ready to use. Is there any logic to that?  I really don’t have the answer, but when I did tons of research, it always started off with the warming of….
I think it’s just like any oil.  For example, when you go out to the spa and get a massage.  They always warm the oils by rubbing their hands together.  Plus, you don’t want to start off your massage with cold hands.
So, think of it as you’re about to massage your face.
3. Massage your face
Take some drops of the warm Argan oil and apply it directly to your face. With circular strokes, spread the oil all over your face equally.  Massage any, if any, wrinkles/fine lines carefully with a lil pressure. Unfortunately these signs of aging appear on foreheads, around eye area, and near the lips.
DAMN YOU AGING PROCESS!!
Massaging is also good to wake up your circulation.
4. Let it set in
Let your skin absorb this “Liquid Gold”.  It’s absorbed easily so it won’t take long.
If you only use 2-3 drops of Argan oil for face, it shouldn’t be greasy.  If it is, you’ve used too much.  Just adjust to your liking and your skin type.  But keep in mind the price of this Liquid Gold.  Plus, your skin is only going to absorb what it needs.  So there’s no use in wasting any of it.
Since I have combination but more on the oily side skin type, I only need to use a small amount of it.
5. Remove any oil residue
Remove any left over oil residue if you’re not going to put any foundation on, after half an hour or so.
The Argon oil your skin needed has already absorbed.
*Rub the leftover Argan Oil into your fingernail cuticles!*
6. Go on about your day
In Step 5, I mentioned to remove the excess oil if you’re not going to put foundation on.  I leave it on because it prepped my skin for applying my foundation easier.  I even put one drop in my foundation and mix it.  It glides on so smooth, I just look in the mirror in awe.  Don’t judge me. 😉
I’ve been using the sample that I received from Sephora for a week now and I had to go back yesterday for some other things so I decided to purchase the full-sized Josie Maran Argan Oil bottle.
I’ve noticed on my skin in only one week, that my complexion is evening out, my acne scars are lighten up, my normal oily skin has decreased, and my skin has tightened.
Now here’s some TMI, but this has all been done while I’m on my “monthly”.
Because during my “monthly”, my face normally goes to war with me and says “I hate you!”
I get those gross hormonal break-outs and my skin gets super oily.
So, Damn Right I went and splurged for the full-sized bottle.
Once I’ve used this for a full month, I’ll post my before and after pictures.  So stay tuned for those results!
Where to purchase:

Have you used Josie Maran Argan Oil or any oil on your face?  What were your results and thoughts?

xoxo
