Starting up with Accutane Acne Medication

As weird as this may sound but I’m excited to try the most talked about  Accutane!

My journey with Accutane

Starting November 4th, 2014, I am super stoked that I will be able to start the most talked about Accutane System for cystic acne.

Don’t get me wrong, it is a long process to begin this journey.

I had to make an appointment with my dermatologist please see what my options are to get rid of this nasty stuff that is on my face. I am not quite as bad as some people with cystic acne. But I am just a little bit vain. When I do get cystic acne it doesn’t just come one by one it comes by force.

As an Asian descent, we take pride in our skin, hair, nails.

I was blessed as a teenager because I never received any break out with any type of asking. Once I turned 30 though, all hell break loose on my porcelain skin.

I tried the doxycycline tablets. I switch to a non hormonal birth control. I’ve tried the Retin-A micro pump. And then some and then some and then some.

Apothederm Acne Clarifying Treatment

Disclosure: I received the Apothederm acne treatment to test out.

As you may already know if you follow my blog, that I tested out a new product that broke out my face terribly.

If you haven’t seen that review, check it out HERE.

It’s a NO-GO on a product for me if it breaks me out like that.

Here’s the Before Apothederm Acne treatment picture.

Fortunately,  Apothederm sent me their Acne Clarifying Treatment with Smart Peptides.

I’ve never heard of this brand, but I was desperate!

As soon as I received the acne treatment,  I immediately applied it on.

The consistency is like a light serum.  It’s slightly thin and runny.

I applied it to my affected areas and a little around them 1-3 times a day for a couple of weeks.

I do have semi-sensitive skin and doing it 3 times a day didn’t dry me out, but everyone is different so adjust it to your liking and comfort.

It soaks into my skin and doesn’t leave any film.  It’s as if I never applied anything on.

The scent is your typical acne treatment smell.  The scent does disappear so you won’t notice it after you apply it.
