GlamGlow SuperMud First Impression Review

I’m sure if you’re into facials, cosmetics,  skin care,  hair care,  the beauty industry,  etc…… Then you’ve heard of this thing called GlamGlow SuperMud.  It’s supposedly the Holy Grail of skin care.

GlamGlow SuperMud First Impression Review

I’ve read tons and tons of reviews, watched YouTube videos, etc and I woke up yesterday and said, “Damnit,  I gotta try it!”

Told my kiddos, “Get up, get dressed, we’re going to the mall!”  Sephora to be exact!

I was already in the hunt for a new foundation, which I decided on Hourglass Immaculate Foundation.  So, I was now going for two things!

This year I’m really getting serious on my skin care routine.   I’m not getting any younger and I want to make sure that I can at least work on slowing down the time of gravity to my skin.

You’re gonna see some super close up pictures of my very bare, no makeup, flaws and all naked face!  You have been warned!!

The way the GlamGlow Clearing SuperMud is supposed to work is it pulls out all the grossness that’s in our skin while it’s on.  You’ll see EVERY pore on your face!!

It’s supposed to grab all that gunk and toxins out, shrink your pores, smooth your skin like a newborns bottom,  firms your skin, clears your complexion, brightens your skin, fights unwanted breakouts, speeds up the healing process of your current breakout, and gives you an all-around youthful gorgeous face!

Now for $69 for 1.2 fl ounces, it better darn do ALL of those things!

I do have to say that the packaging is Glamorously Gorgeous!  I was lucky enough to get the gift set that includes the GlamGlow YouthMud for the price of the GlamGlow Clearing SuperMud, so SCORE for me!!

This is just my First Impression Review, so later I’ll be able to give you full details of the long run.

After I took a nice hot shower to open my pores, I went ahead and grabbed my MAC 190 brush and the GlamGlow SuperMud and applied a thin layer quickly on my skin.  It starts to dry almost instantly. I used a brush because it glides on smoother and evenly and I wouldn’t have to waste any of this super expensive mud!

Who would have thought that my frugal self would spend $69 on MUD!!

Anyways……..Here’s those pictures that I warned you of!!  These are the Before & After side by side of the nose, right side cheek, left side cheek, and full frontal!

I can totally see and feel the difference!!

The scent of the product is amazing.  Which is a definite plus since it’s on our face. We don’t want to have to smell some nasty chemicals/ingredients near our nostrils.

Is it worth the HYPE Hollywood’s finest are giving it?

After just my 1st use, YES it’s worth all the hype and $69!

Supposedly,  with this little jar of youth, you’re able to get 17 full usages.

Until next time Dolls

Can you see the difference?

What are your thoughts?  Chime in!  I want to hear what you have to say!

Sephora and Ross Beauty Haul

I went to Sephora today to get a new foundation and before I went, I had to do some research.  I have oily skin and that’s a main factor that helps me choose what foundation I purchase.  Choosing the perfect foundation is ALWAYS hard to do!  There’s always making sure that it goes with your undertone and skin tone.  That’s why I always go to Sephora or Ulta to get my foundations,  because at the drug stores you can’t test them out on the spot.  If you can’t test them on the spot,  there’s a HIGH chance that you’ll have to go back and exchange it.  So, I just stick with Sephora and Ulta for my foundations.

Well, I ended up getting some stuff at Sephora and my daughter wanted to go to Ross, so I found some skin care there.

Here’s everything that I purchased at both the stores, Sephora and Ross.

Sephora Beauty Haul

At Sephora I bought the Hourglass Immaculate Mattifying Foundation, GlamGlow SuperMud, GlamGlow YouthMud, and my Sephora VIB free product of Origins GinZing eye cream.

From Ross I bought Deseo perfume by Jennifer Lopez and two DermaPure Skin Lightener face cream.

Is January’s Ipsy bag worth all the hype?

Is January’s Ipsy bag worth all the hype?

January Ipsy US

My January Ipsy bag finally landed in my mailbox today!
Keep in mind that Ipsy bags are $10 a month with free shipping to the US.

Let’s get into what all they selected for me this month.

Mica Beauty cosmetics – Tinted lip balm in #6 Fiesta
Briogeo – Don’t Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask
Proactive+ – Mark Fading Pads
Nourish Organic – Lightweight Moisturizing Face Lotion
Elizabeth Mott – Smooth Shadow in Pearl

Mica Beauty cosmetics
We’ve received several different products from this brand and so far, I haven’t been enticed to use any of them.  This lip balm included.  I’m not a potted lip balm type of person, but if you are then you may like this one.
It’s not like any other tinted lip balm that I’ve seen because this one is SUPER pigmented.  It’s mauve in color and it’s semi matte to me.  I’ll most likely give this to my daughter or put it in my box of goodies that I don’t use and may do a giveaway with all the items in there.  I don’t want all of it just collecting dusk.
I couldn’t find this exact product on their website but the other lip balms are $14.95

Ipsy January's

Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow
Also included in this months bag is a Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in the color Pearl.
Finally something out of this bag that I’ll use.  This is a very nice shimmery pearl color that glides on smooth.  For me, I had to swipe it twice to get the pigmentation that I like.  It’s a gel pencil that stays in place!
The cost is $14.99.
With that cost, I don’t think I would repurchase.  I’ll use it up until it’s gone though.

proactiv +
This is the 1st time that I’ve seen proactiv in an Ipsy bag.  I don’t care for proactiv products because when I thought my little monthly breakouts were bad, (They seriously weren’t) I used the proactiv set and of course the purging of all things nasty came about!  Then I totally freaked!  Stopped that mess!  Regardless what they say, “It always gets worse before it gets better.” this chic was not having that!
They included four (4) proactiv + Mark Fading Pads.
A pack of 15 pads is $41!!!
What! Are they mad? They done lost their minds!
Nope, not me, I wouldn’t pay that much money for that!

Don’t Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask 10z
This is another item that I’ll try!  I’ll try about anything when it comes to a good hair conditioning mask.  I’ve put my hair through some serious dye jobs throughout my life.  I need to make sure I always have it nourished.
It has a light pleasant scent to it.
A full size jar is 5.25 oz’s for $26.
So, this 1 oz jar equals to $4.95 and I can see this being a good 3-4 applications.  I have super long hair.

Nourish Organic
Nourish Organic Lightweight Moisturizing Face Lotion 0.5 oz’s is the last product in the bag.
As you can imagine, if you’ve been following my posts, is that I’ve been in search of a good face moisturizer.  So, this will be in with the rest of the face moisturizers that I’m going to try.
Cost: $6.51
We shall see if it’s really deserves that price.

Well, for all 5 products the cost of this whole bag is:

Not bad for a monthly cost of $10.

Until next time Dolls

2013 Beauty Favorites

My favorite and most used Beauty products of 2013

most used beauty products 2013

These were my most used and favorites of 2013.

Smashbox BB Cream in Medium

smashbox bb

BB Creams were all the craze and still is.  Being in Florida,  we need to wear spf to protect our skin from the sun.  Smashbox is the perfect fit for my skin with the shade of color and coverage.   It’s in between a tinted moisturizer and full coverage foundation.

Sigma F80 Foundation Brush

sigma f80

Since I started off with the BB Cream, the Sigma F80 Kabuki brush is what I used to give me that flawless finish.  They’re reasonably priced and I haven’t had any shedding of the bristles like my other brushes.

Elf Contouring & Blush set

elf contouring

This is by far the best, hands down contouring & blush set in one for the buck!  For only $3 and I still havent reached pan.  It’s super comparable to the NARS set.

MAC contouring brush 168

mac brush 168

I use this baby for my contouring and blush.  I do the contouring first then I just dab on the blush on the apples of my cheeks.  I like how they’re white bristles so I can see how much of the contouring product I have on it.  You don’t want it to be too harsh and have too much product on it.

Macadamia Hair treatment oil

I fell in love with this product when I received it in one of my monthly Ipsy beauty bags.  I love the smell and I don’t need a ton of it.  I have super long, color-treated hair.  I only need one pump for all of it.  The left over that I have in my hands after smoothing it through my hair, I just rub it on my cuticles to nourish them at the same time.  They are quite pricey, but it’s worth every penny.  The normally have deals on these at CVS & Target where you buy one and get a 2nd product at half off.  When I see deals like that, I go ahead and jump on it.

Victoria’s Secret Love Spell lotion

love spell

This is my absolute favorite scent.  I feel so fresh and sexy in this.  It’s not overpowering and makes my skin feel so smooth.

MAC Blacktrack eye liner fluidline

mac blacktrack

This is my go-to eyeliner!   It doesn’t smudge and stays in place ALL DAY!  I typically wear the cat eyes everyday.  It’s pretty much my signature eyes.  It doesn’t matter where I am or going.

I don’t know what I’d do without my Clarisonic.  This has saved my skin!  My skin feels so clean after I use this.  When I don’t use it, I can definitely tell the difference.  It’s pricey but so worth it.  Don’t let the other look a likes fool you.  This is the real deal of skin cleaning.

Urban Decay’s Naked 2

naked 2

There’s so many possibilities with this.  From my everyday wear in my Air Force uniform to a night on the town.  You can create different looks with this  one AMAZING  set!

Last but definitely not least….

MAC lipsticks

I never leave the house without something on my lips.  If I don’t have anything else on, I always have lipstick or lipgloss on.  I feel naked without it.  For me and my lips, MAC makes the best lipstick formulas.

Well beauties, were any of my favorites yours as well?

Until next time Dolls

Let me know what your favorites were in 2013.
