DIY Skin Brightner & Acne Treatment

Tired of spending so much money on acne and skin brightner products?

I know I’ve put a dent on my bank account on skin lightning & acne beauty products so I decided to make my own with products that I already have at home.

If you have cloth face masks that you’ve already used, DONT throw them away.  Keep them for future uses for your own DIY projects.   I’m not talking about those paper-like masks though.  I can’t vouch for those because I just dont really like how the stuff on those drip like crazy on your face down to my neck and shoulders.  I like the absorbant cloth-like masks.

What you need:

  • used face cloth-like masks
  • lemon
  • water
  • cup or bowl
  • knife

See, things you already have at home.

DIY Skin brightner & acne treatment

Lemons are naturally skin brightners and disinfectants since it contains the citric acids.  The citric acids clears up the acne bacterias lurking and clears your complexions.

First you want to have a nice clean face and open up your pores with warm water.

If you have open acne scars/lesions,  be aware that this may burn and cause redness.  Dilute the lemon juice with water.

Cut your lemon in half then squeeze the juices into your cup or bowl.  Then get your cloth-like mask and dip it in your cup/bowl to soak up the lemon juice. (Save the leftover juice in a container and place in the refrigerator.) Squeeze your mask to get the excess lemon juice off.  Then get in a comfortable position to relax and place the mask on your face.
*Depending on your skins sensitivity, you can dilute the lemon juice with some water.

Let it soak for 15 minutes to overnight.

*If you’re doing it overnight, dilute the lemon juice with water.

Do this everyday until you’re pleased with your results.

Remember that applying lemon juice may cause sunlight sensitivity so apply your daily face SPF moisturizer.

Hope you enjoy your new cheap DIY skin brightner & acne treatment!

After you try it, let me know your results!!

xoxo
