It’s the 4th of July and what better way to start the day than deciding how you are going to paint your fingernails.
Of course, the obvious would be to start with the basic colors of red, white, and blue.
I looked at my fingernail polish stash and found the colors that I used for my nails.
SinfulColors Snow Me White
Sally Hansen Red My Lips
Seche Vite (Top Coat)
I started off with painting all my nails in the SinfulColors Snow Me White nail polish. Then I painted my ring fingers (accent nails) in the Sally Hansen Red My Lips nail polish. I also used the Red My Lips with a nail design paint brush the draw in the squiggly lines on my pointer fingers then painted my pointer finger tips with the Zoya Tila nail polish and also used the Tila nail polish for my Pinky fingers. I left my thumb nails in Snow Me White.
I topped them off with my favorite and cult Holy Grail Top Coat Seche Vite.
I finally received my Josie Maran order from Haute Look and one of the items that I received was the face brightening balm.
I never knew that she had a brightening balm in her product line. The consistency is nice and creamy and all types of shimmery.
Brightening Balm is a powerful complex of nature’s brighteners: lemon oil, orange oil, antioxidant-rich, organic Argan Oil, and bearberry. An ancient healing herb used to eliminate age spots, and evens freckles, bearberry is a natural skin-brightener. Worn under or over your makeup, it will illuminate the beauty that is the true you.
With it be in nice and sunny out send in the springtime, this balm will nicely highlight all the features that you want it to highlight. it’s not overly shimmery it’s just the perfect type of shimmery.
I’m going to have to check with Sephora again to see if they have this in their store that way if I run out of this one I can make sure I can repurchase it locally.
It comes with a nice lil brush so you can apply it on. Rarely do I use a brush that comes with the actual product but this brush is actually great! There’s no throwing this baby in the garbage. I know I’m not the only person that throws away those generic brushes that come with the products.
The container itself is nice and sleek and has the signature Josie Maran name on it.
It also has a lil mirror and a covered peekaboo slot so you can actually see the product.
It goes on smoothly and doesn’t cake on or crease. The scent is amazing and not overpowering. It’s just right.
This is the first highlighting creamy type product that I’ve seen. If you know of any other ones please let me know. You know I love to try different products out. But for now I love this one.
I was recently sent a bottle of Freya ™ Scandinavian Skin Science Intensive Anti-Aging Serum from Freya ™ and Mommerce to test out and give my down and dirty opinions on it. I’m so glad that they did! I wouldn’t have tried this product otherwise, because I’ve never heard of the brand before.
Now look at this gorgeous bottle! The packaging itself is pure beauty!
It comes in a beautiful 30 ml/ 1 fl oz Aquamarine glass pump bottle. It’s the epitome of a luxury skin care product.
Packaging: Like I stated above, it comes in a refreshing aquamarine colored 30 ml glass bottle. They chose the perfect color for this product, especially this is an Arctic Antioxidant Correction product. The color of the bottle just makes you happy by looking at it.
It has a pump that dispenses the perfect amount of anti aging serum out. The bottle itself is quite heavy, so it doesn’t feel generic or cheaply made like some others.
Consistency/Finish: It is thick, off-white in color, and smooth, which is great because a little goes a long ways. I just use one pump of the Freya ™ Intensive Anti-Aging Serum. The finish is hydrating and illuminating. It also has a light and refreshing fragrance. I look forward to putting this on my face and neck.
I’ve been using Freya ™ Intensive Anti-Aging Serum for three (3) weeks now. I use it twice daily. Once in the morning after I wash my face and again right before bed after I wash my makeup off.
I only use one (1) pump for my face and neck. Like I said, a little goes a long ways and I want this bottle to last as long as possible.
I pump out the product on my middle finger and tap it with my other middle finger and I dab it on each side of my forehead, temples, below my eyes, cheeks, nose, chin, and neck.
Then I just tap it all over my face and neck softly with my pointer, middle, and ring fingers together without tugging and stretching my skin. I let in absorb and penetrate in my skin for a minute then afterwards I apply a daily moisturizer.
When I apply it on before bed, I do the same, but I add my prescription acne cream in the routine. (I haven’t had any problems with mixing the three products together.)
Durability: For me, I can feel the fullness and hydration of my skin all day. I have combination more on the oily side type of skin in the summertime and combination skin in the winter.
For the product itself, the Freya website states:
When used according to instruction, each Freya product is designed to last approximately 60 days. An unopened container stored in a cool place will last up to 3 years. An opened container will remain good for 9 months.
Since I haven’t heard of this brand prior to me receiving it, I went to their website to read more about it. Now that I’m in my 30’s, I’m taking care of my skin better than I did when I was younger. I’m always looking for skin care products. I live in Florida, so we get tons of sun, beach winds, coldness, and this year, it actually snowed and had freezing rain. We get a lot of different environment elements here. So, I’m paying more attention to my skin care routine and regimen. I just wished that I started earlier, like in my early 20’s. Better late than never though!
On the Freya website is states:

I was very hesitate in buying this at Sephora a couple months back but I did.
I bought the pink BeautyBlender at Sephora and just received the white BeautyBlender in my January GlossyBox.
The White BeautyBlender is the original size and the Pink BeautyBlender is when its wet. It doubles in size.
I put my foundation on a glass topper and wet my BeautyBlender then dab my BeautyBlender in my foundation then dab it all on my face. I use the big part of the BeautyBlender on my cheeks, forehead, and chin then I use the pointed side for my nose, around my nose, and under my eyes.
The pointed part of the BeautyBlender is made for the hard to get areas and the bigger side for all other areas of your face.
I’ve tried and wasted my money on the knock-offs of the BeautyBlender just because I didn’t want to spend $20 on a sponge. The knock-offs DOES NOT compare at all!
The finish is flawless!
I highly highly highly recommend The Original BeautyBlender!
