Tatcha Japanese Beauty Blotting Papers Review

I finally had to use my Tatcha Oil Blotting papers that I received in my April’s Sample Society’s beauty box.

Yesterday when I came home from work I looked in the mirror and saw my t-zone just a shinning like it was nobody’s business!!!

This is the true sign that Spring is here!

I’m also a sucker when it comes to Asian Beauty Products.  The details in their packaging are always so beautifully designed that they just entice your eyes.

The oils in my face was saying, “Let us be free!!” and they had no shame!

When I saw all that oil, I pulled out the Tatcha oil blotting papers and just cupped it in my palm and pressed it lightly on my forehead,  cheeks, chin, and nose.

Dare to see…….

Urg, YUCKY Right?!

This lil packet of Tatcha is now gonna have a reserved place in my purse for now on!

If you really take a look at the sheets, they also have lil speckles of gold flakes in them.

I’ve used several different brands of oil blotting sheets in the past, but they all had a film of powder on them that it always transferred to my face so I stopped using them.  They did more damage than good.  These Tatcha sheets has no trace of anything on them that would transfer so I gave them a try, and as you can see, THEY WORK!  My makeup stayed in place and there was no transfer of any kind to my face.  Just the oil being removed.

I went on the Tatcha website and saw that a pack of the 30 sheets that I have runs $12.  They also have it to where you can purchase in bulk as well.

This is what the Tatcha website had to say about these:

What it is:
All-natural leaflets which absorb excess oil without disturbing makeup for petal fresh skin anytime, anywhere.

How it’s different:
Will not steal moisture from the skin or disturb makeup. Powder-free. Fragrance-free. Pulp-free.

Who it’s for:
All skin types.

100% Abaca Leaf, Gold Flake.

Made without:
Mineral oil, synthetic color, fragrance, powder or pulp.

If you want to know a little more about Tatcha skin care products and the story behind the brand, go on over HERE.

I would definitely recommend these beauty oil blotting sheets from Tatcha.

Thank Goodness I received them in my Sample Society monthly beauty box!

Have you used oil blotting sheets before?

Limited Edition Royal Beauty Blender

The “IT” beauty application tool is now in the 2014 “IT” Pantone Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid!

Purple Beauty Blender

Every beauty enthusiast NEEDS this lil baby on their makeup vanity.

They’re so beautiful that I don’t even want to put foundation on it.

It you haven’t used the beauty blender yet, you are seriously missing out!

Don’t get me wrong.  I had my doubts for the longest time because you the steep price just for a sponge.  But let me tell you, this is not your ordinary sponge.  Many has tried to duplicate but all that I’ve tried, has failed to compare!

I don’t even pick up my Sigma F80 brush anymore.  In the back of my head, I keep envisioning the Swiffer Sweeper commercials where the broom is all alone in the dark and the “Baby come back” song starts to play.

The way you use the beauty blender is to first get it moist.  Hold it under the running water and squeeze out the excess water.  It just needs to be moist.  You can put your foundation directly on it, on a clean flat surface,  or dot your foundation around your face.  Then get your moist beauty blender and start stippling “bouncing”  your foundation where you want to enhance your beauty.  The beauty blender leaves your skin looking air brushed.

This is great to carry with you as well in your makeup bag or purse just in case your foundation starts to slide or if you have oily skin, you can use this to absorb the oil throughout the day.  With the lil bit of left-over foundation you may have from using it in the morning, you can smooth and refresh your look.  Just remember to wash your beauty blender when you get home before you use it for the next day.

Beauty Blender definitely looks good in Pantone Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid. The name fits the beauty blender too…….to make our skin even more radiant.

I love ordering from Missha.  I love the asian style appearance and asian skincare. Plus the FREE samples they send you of their other products.

My latest order is the Misa Cho Bo Yang Emulsion.  The ginseng is what really attracted me to it since I used up a sample of my Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Cream.  The Sulwhasoo Ginseng Cream full sized jar is $220!!!! For 60 ml’s!!

So yea, this frugal beauty girl is NOT spending that much for a cream regardless!   I would seriously have to win the jackpot lotto before I spend that kind of money on a beauty face cream.  Who’s with me??

Here’s the gorgeousness of Misa Cho Bo Yang Emulsion

It’s a 100 ml bottle for $28!

The cost is much more to my liking.

It basically does the same thing for cheaper and for more product.

The Missha website says this about Misa Cho Bo Yang Emulsion:

Carefully selected traditional oriental medicine is combined with potent Wild Ginseng to firm up skin and minimize the visible effects of skin aging. Deer Antler Velvet pampers skin with lush moisturizers to increase elasticity and improve suppleness. Also pure gold ingredient penetrates deeply into skin to purify and brighten up skin tone.

I love the packaging and all the freebies they sent.

Just look at the cap of the bottle.

Here’s the back of it.  I have absolutely no idea what it says since it’s written in  Korean I believe.

It has a pump, which I love about creams.  I really don’t like having to dip my fingers inside a jar and possibly inserting germs in it. It pumps out a perfect amount.  I used 2 pumps for my face.

I have combination but more on the oily side.  I put this on today after my shower and under my Hourglass Immaculate foundation and I had no oil peeking out.  So, this passes the test for oily skin usage.

Here’s everything that they sent me and I will be trying every single last bit of them.

Missha Misa Cho Bo Yang Emulsion

Even though today is my 1st usage of this, I’m loving it already.

Until next time Dolls

Have you purchased anything from Missha that you absolutely love?
