shu uemura eyelash curler HOLY GRAIL or HOLY FAIL

THA HOLY GRAIL of eyelash curlers!

holy grail eyelash curler shu uemura

Yes, I’m SUPER LATE to trying this baby out.  I’ve been a very loyal MAC eyelash curler user. I’ve tried tons of different look-a-likes, but MAC was the one that did the job the best for me…UNTIL NOW!

I wish I knew of a way to add Jay Z’s song Holy Grail on here to where when you 1st landed on here it played.

I always read about this “Holy Grail” eyelash curler, but they don’t sell it locally here. I decided to treat myself and order it online at the shu uemura website for $20. It’s the same price as the MAC full lash curler and they look the same.

I don’t know how and what the shu uemura creators did to pull off this amazingness but O, M, to the G! Seriously!

It grabs every lil tiny piece of my Filipino Islander straight eyelashes and curls them to perfection! It also holds the curls without having to heat it up with a blow dryer.

BTW, I’m testing out a new eyelash serum so I’ll be posting my review on that in a few weeks.

When i order from shu uemura, I also received a sample of their cleansing oil.

Back to the eyelash curler though, I instantly FELL IN LOVE! This is what it means when they say, “Love at 1st sight.” Once you see how your eyelashes look after curling them, you fall in LOVE!

It gets right down there to your lashline and curls away. It doesn’t snag or pull your lashes out.

I kinda feel bad for my MAC eyelash curlers now because they’re sitting inside one of my drawers not seeing the sunshine anymore.

The only downfall for me is that I will have to order from the website once it gets damaged or old since there’s nowhere local for me to get it, but I’ll be the lil impatient woman that I am and will continue to use this baby.

Just check out these curls.

It just screams, “POW! LOOK AT ME!”

I’m not wearing any falsies or extensions,  but some regular mascara.

I am iN LOVE….♡♡♡♡

Seriously,  if you want an eyelash curler that works wonders, GET THIS BABY!

I can’t say enough how much I’m loving this curler!

shu uemura, YOU DONE GOOD!

Beauty Blogger Spotlight Vol 5

Beauty Blogger Spotlight Vol 5

It’s that time again where FilipinaMacBarbie Spotlights a Beauty Blogger!  I’m so glad that I’ve started this series. I’ve been able to get to know the Beauties Behind the Blogs better and get to read and see all their articles in their corner of cyber space.

This weeks Spotlight goes to Loan from My Own Kind of Beautiful!

I love the blog name because, what may be your kind of beautiful isn’t mine and vis versa. That’s what makes this such a beautiful world! Literally ERRRRTHANG is Beautiful!  It may not be your kind of beautiful,  but it’s My kind of beautiful.

Now let’s get to know Loan just a lil bit better.

Name & Age:

Loan, 26

Blog name & URL:

My Own Kind of Beautiful- http://myownkindofbeautiful.com/

How did you come up with your blog name?

After years of feeling really low in confidence and self esteem, I realized that I don’t look like the average girl, and definitely not like the airbrushed models I saw on TV. So I decided to embrace my own body. If I saw a look I like on someone else, I learned to tweak it a bit to make it wearable on me, to make it my own kind of beautiful 😉

When did you start blogging & Why did you start?

I only just started blogging and doing makeup tutorials on YouTube about a month ago, but it’s becoming so addicting! I started because I knew there were other girls out there in the very same situation that I’m in. We’re not all 5’10, with a size 2 body, flawless skin, and a beautiful mane of hair. I wanted to be able to help girls alter a certain makeup look or outfit, to make it look suitable and wearable on them. I wanted to help everyone find their own kind of beautiful.

What is your favorite part of being a blogger?

I’m not gonna lie, it was pretty terrifying at first. I didn’t think anybody would be interested in what I had to say or the content I was putting out, but my experience so far has been amazing! I love that I’m able to reach out to so many people, from all over the world. It’s such a humbling feeling knowing that girls from, as far away as, Scotland, Italy, and France are reading my blog, and enjoying it! It’s an awesome feeling.

What keeps you inspired to blog?

The feedback I’m getting from all my viewers. They have been so incredibly supportive and positive about the blog and YouTube channel, and that inspires me to put out more content for them.

Do you have regular beauty blogs that you read?

I love Beauty Broadcast because Emily is so sweet and funny, and her reviews on products are amazing! And she’s also beautiful.

What is your HOLY GRAIL beauty product and why?

Lip balm. Anyone who knows me knows that I apply lip balm every half hour. It’s a crazy addiction and a bit annoying.

Is there a beauty product that you’ve tried and will never try again? Why?

I’ve never tried any product that was so bad that I would put it in the “never again” pile. I do a lot of research before I buy anything, so I’ve always been happy with my products.

If you could go back in time to 5 years ago, what beauty tip would you give yourself?

Stop tanning, and use a high SPF sunscreen! I’m definitely paying for all those long hours in the sun without protection 🙁

What piece of advice would you give to new inspiring beauty bloggers?

Connect, connect, connect! With all our social media outlets today, it’s so important to reach out to other people and build your network. It’s a great way to bring in viewers and subscribers.
