What I’ve been doing lately Yoga, Running, etc

I’ve neglected my blog for almost a month now. I’ve been busy with work, family, friends, running and yoga.

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month now.

I’ve been on a fitness kick lately and have started running way more than I like. I use to love running when I was younger. I used to be on the cross-country and track teams. Not just on the teams but actually being awarded MVP. You totally wouldn’t believe it now though if you’ve seen my run times as of late. BUT I’m in the fitness mode to better my times. I’ve also been eating a little healthier. If you have any awesome tasty healthy recipes,  do share with me.

I’ve bought the Nike+ fitness watch so I can keep dibs on my pace and distance in real-time PLUS it downloads into my computer on the Nike+ app/website to track my runs. You can also add friends to it and see how everyone else is progressing. I love it! It will show you your running route, btw, if you don’t want to share that particular information,  you can choose the option not too. There’s stalkers out there, I’m jus’ sayin’!

I’ve also have been doing yoga. My son loves to do it with me too.

My co-worker gave me a Jillian Michaels’s yoga dvd. On my non-running days, I do yoga in the comfort of my own home. I’ll go out and do yoga classes at the gym or at yoga studios later.

I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t think I’d be sweating as much as I do when I do Jillian Michaels’s yoga. Then again, it is Jillian Michaels. She’s one tough woman!

I love me my FSU football and when I saw this yoga mat at TJ MAXX, I had to get it! It was just calling out to me!

It has the FSU Seminole on it! Yes, I am one happy chic!

After I perfect this Jillian Michaels’ s yoga video, I’ll try a different one then venture out into a yoga class once I’m feeling comfortable enough to do the moves in front of others.

By the time I get off work and run by myself or with my friend, I’m pooped after a nice relaxing shower.

If you’re looking into starting a fitness routine,  it’s never too late to start.

You can always just start off with nice brisk walks then progress to running. I’m lucky enough that I’m able to run along the ocean with a nice cool breeze.

I’ve also tested some new beauty products that I’ll be posting my reviews soon.

I’ve received some more Vitamin C serums, moisturizing serums, Josie Maran products, Revolution cosmetics, hair and nail care, nail polishes, beauty sleep aids, etc.

  1. I have set my goal for myself to start back doing my power walks. I have so got out of the habit, when I stopped due to having to help my father when he was ill and then life in general, I was up to 6 miles at least 4-5 times a week.

    1. 6 miles up to 4-5 times a week is great!!! Do you take your cell phone with you? If you do, get the Nike + app and add me as a friend. You don’t need the watch. Your phone will be your gps.
